Created with the simplicity and remarkable character that defined the Roman Gladiators with elegant Black resin.

The Gladius (Latin: glădĭus) was the Latin word for sword and is used to represent the primary sword of Ancient Roman soldiers.

Designed with the user in mind, the section and body blend fluently, and the nib is Stipula’s T-Flex nib, plated to match the trim. The trim is Sterling Silver Gold Vermeil and you can see the “925″ stamp on the ring around the cap.

The clip, resembling a Gladius that would have been standard issue to any Roman Soldier, used 2000 years ago. Numbered to 20 in the fountain pen and to 3 in the speedball.

The MSRP on the Chatterley Pens / Stipula Gladius Classico Limited Edition Fountain Pen is $750

There is also a Speedball version of the Gladius Classico. The Stipula Speedball is essentially a rollerball pen that can be refilled using fountain pen ink, and the material and trim are the same on the speedball. The speedball accepts either cartridges or a converter, which is included with the pen.
